All are asked to daven for a refuah shleimah for Rav Simcha Scheinberg, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Torah Ore in Yerushalayim, who was taken in for emergency surgery at Maimonides Medical Center this afternoon.
Rav Scheinberg, who is currently visiting the United States, was hospitalized last night after feeling unwell.
Rav Scheinberg is the only son of his father, Rav Chaim Pinchos Scheinberg zt”l, rosh yeshiva and founder of Yeshiva Torah Ore, who he succeeded upon his passing seven years ago. Rav Scheinberg’s mother, Rebbetzin Basha, was a daughter of the renowned Torah pioneer, Rav Yaakov Yosef Herman.
All are asked to daven for Simcha ben Basha.

The Degel Hatorah faction within Yahadut Hatorah reportedly agrees to the compromise deal over the conscription bill whereby Avigdor Liberman’s proposal is approved in the first reading and then only in its final votes “in agreement with all the coalition parties.”
Degel Hatorah is teamed up with Shas in supporting the deal, which would’ve helped avoid new elections. Even without the four seats of Agudas Yisroel, there would  beenough to create a 61 seat majority.
Unfortunately its a case of too little too late as the Knesset is currently voting to dissolve and call for new elections.

5 Years ago, in mid-July, not long before the beginning of the new school year, over 100 wonderful girls found themselves without a school to attend in September due to no fault of their own. There simply was no room in the existing schools, which were all bursting at the seams. Something needed to be done, and quickly!
Rabbi Avrohom Landau recognized the need for something to be done, and he jumped in and did it. He left a very successful career at the Lakewood Cheder and undertook the tremendous responsibility of opening a brand new school and doing what was necessary to do for the benefit of the Klal.Fast forward five years.

To accommodate alumni and friends around the world who simply could not make it to the Brooklyn Marriott this evening for the Yeshiva Torah Vodaas Centennial Dinner, the program is available for viewing via live-stream on Matzav.com so that one and all can join in this celebration.
