During a moving address at a welcome reception held in his honor in the United States, Slabodka Rosh Yeshiva Rav Moshe Hillel Hirsch, who is currently visiting America to lead a fundraising campaign for the Keren Olam HaTorah fund, delivered heartfelt words about the ongoing crisis in Eretz Yisroel.
Rav Hirsch implored American Jews to deeply feel the pain and anxiety of their brethren in Israel. “Moshe Rabbeinu went down to Mitzrayim, saw the suffering of his brothers, and cried with them,” he said. “He wished he could help. Chazal say that Moshe acted with true brotherhood—achvah—and that’s why he merited the sneh (burning bush).”

During a shiur on Monday night, Rav Yitzchok Zilberstein delivered guidance steeped in Torah, sensitivity, and heart. Speaking in the Beis Knesses HaMerkazi of Ramat Elchanan in Bnei Brak, the Rosh Yeshiva addressed pressing halachic questions that have arisen in recent days amid ongoing rocket attacks.

In the wake of the Iranian missile that struck Bnei Brak, severely damaging a school for special-needs children, Gerer Rosh Yeshiva Rav Shaul Alter delivered a powerful and emotional reflection on the tragedy, questioning why such a vulnerable institution was targeted.
Speaking on the “Hi Sichasi” call-in line, where he regularly discusses Torah topics with the talmidei chachamim of his kehillah, Rav Shaul veered from his usual format to comment on current events. Referring to the heartbreaking strike that hit a facility for children with special needs, he remarked, “The Ribbono Shel Olam is awaiting the tefillos of those children in particular.”

As Israel continues its fight in Operation Am K’Lavi, a special atzeres tefillah was held Monday evening at the Kosel, organized by the Western Wall Heritage Foundation. The emotionally charged event featured the sounding of shofaros and trumpets, invoking a segulah for victory against Israel’s enemies.

In light of the escalating security situation and the threat of missile attacks, Rav Dov Landau, rosh yeshiva of Slabodka, has issued a clear directive to immediately close Yeshivas Torah B’Tifarta in Elad due to the absence of proper protected areas (mamadim) on the premises.
