The Vizhnitzer Rebbe of Bnei Brak, Rav Yisroel Hager, who was in Los Angeles for the past two and a half months following a complex surgery, departed last night on a private jet bound for Switzerland, where he will be staying for a period of rest and recuperation.
The Rebbe took off from Los Angeles at 10:45 p.m. local time on Wednesday night, en route to Davos, where he is expected to remain for ten days.
Barring any changes, the Rebbe is scheduled to return to Eretz Yisroel at the start of the week of Lag BaOmer.

Thousands of Yidden from across the globe gathered in Kerestir, Hungary, to participate in the central hilulah seudah marking the 100th yahrtzeit of the tzaddik Rav Yeshayale ben Rav Moshe of Kerestir zt”l. The 100th yahrtzeit is today.
The seudah took place in the massive tent known as “Reb Yeshaya’le’s House,” which has become a spiritual focal point for those seeking yeshuos and inspiration from the legacy of the revered tzaddik.

In a heartfelt interview with Arutz Sheva during their Yom HaZikaron broadcast, Rabbi Yoram Eliyahu, father of Sergeant First Class (res.) Yedidya Eliyahu Hy”d of Karnei Shomron, who fell in battle in Gaza, shared his perspective on loss and resilience.
Rabbi Eliyahu expressed his discomfort with the term “bereavement,” stating, “We are not the families of bereavement, but the families of heroism. If you call it bereavement, it already has a negative effect on you, and this is not the right message that we should be conveying to the people of Israel. I say this both personally and nationally, the purpose of the Heroism Forum is to bring life back to the people of Israel, until we achieve our military victory and the collapse of Hamas.”

As devastating fires continue to rage across Israel, many were reminded of the massive blaze that swept through Los Angeles just a few months ago. At the time, numerous Jewish communities in California reached out to their spiritual authority, the Raavad of Yerushalayim, Rav Gideon Ben Moshe, with a pressing question: Why had such destructive fires struck their city?
The response they received was nothing short of remarkable.
In a detailed letter addressed to Rabbi Ezra Dwek, the rav of Kehillas Torah Ohr in Los Angeles, Rav ben Moshe offered two spiritual reasons for the fires—and a call to action.

The Rebbe of Karlin-Stolin will spend the upcoming Shabbos, Tazria-Metzora, in Detroit, Michigan. The visit marks a rare and significant occasion, as the Rebbe will not only visit the kever of his great-uncle, the tzaddik Rav Yaakov Chaim of Stolin zt”l, whose resting place is in Detroit, but will also remain in the city for Shabbos.

In the wake of the public uproar surrounding the World Zionist Organization (WZO) elections — and amid recent shocking revelations that the Conservative movement covertly ran a campaign within the chareidi community to undermine the Eretz HaKodesh slate — a recording has now surfaced documenting Rav Gershon Edelstein’s explicit directive encouraging American talmidim to vote for Eretz HaKodesh. Matzav.com has obtained this exclusive recording.

On the yahrtzeit of the tzaddik Rav Nesanel Weil zt”l, author of the Korban Nesanel commentary on the Rosh, Jews from various communities gathered at his gravesite in Karlsruhe, Germany to offer tefillos.
Organizers of the event described the atmosphere as deeply emotional and spiritually uplifting.

A major development has taken place at Yeshivas Brisk on Rechov Press in Yerushalayim, led by the rosh yeshiva, Rav Avrohom Yehoshua Soloveitchik. Over the past year, a new building has been purchased directly across from the yeshiva’s historic main building.
For many years, Brisk has flourished, attracting close to two thousand talmidimbochurim and yungeleit — from across the global Torah world. The tremendous growth, however, resulted in severe overcrowding, forcing many talmidim to learn in batei medrash throughout the neighborhood. Some of these facilities were rented by the yeshiva itself, while others became informal hubs packed with Brisk talmidim.

Excitement is in the air at the Mir Yeshiva in Yerushalayim as preparations for the summer zman reach their peak. Over the bein hazmanim break, the yeshiva undertook a major renovation of its central beis medrash, which had not been refurbished in eighty years.
Workers labored around the clock — continuing even through the night — to ensure the project would be completed in time for the start of the new zman.

Chareidi demonstrators gathered on Monday outside the Tel Hashomer induction center to protest against the IDF’s efforts to enlist members of the chareidi community.
Footage shows activists sitting across the roadway, obstructing traffic, until police intervened and forcibly removed them.
The police issued a statement labeling the gathering “illegal,” although they emphasized that they “view the right to protest as a cornerstone of a democratic state and allow demonstrations as long as they are conducted within the law.”
They added, “However, the police will not allow any disturbances of public order, violations of freedom of movement, or behavior that may endanger public safety.”
