It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of Rabbi Mordechai Kriger z”l of Lawrence, NY. He was 82 years old when he was niftar on Friday.
Born on June 29, 1937, Reb Mordechai was a noted tomeich Torah and talmid chochom. A true ben Torah throughout his life, Reb Mordechai felt most comfortable in a bais medrash, learning and plumbing the depths of the Yam Hatalmud.

Mrs. Rosenblum was a daughter of Rav Shraga Moshe Kalmanowitz zt”lrosh yeshiva of Mirrer Yeshiva in Brooklyn, and a granddaughter of Rav Avrohom Kalmanowitz zt”l, founding rosh yeshiva of the Mirrer Yeshiva.
She was the wife of Rav Moshe Rosenblum, a noted talmid chochom who has served as one of the senior editors for the ArtScroll Schottenstein Shas.

Shmuel Rabinowitz is being accompanied by a group of volunteers to be reunited with his family.
He is boruch Hashem safe and sound.
Shmuel first communicated with his family by cell phone and was then located.
