At 9:12 p.m., Magen David Adom received an emergency call reporting the attack. The call came into MDA’s 101 dispatch center, detailing that a person had been stabbed in the vicinity of the Chain Gate.
Emergency responders from MDA, including EMTs and paramedics, arrived at the scene and began caring for a 25-year-old man who was stabbed but remained conscious.
Authorities reported that the assailant had been neutralized. According to a statement from the Israel Police, the victim in the attack was identified as a police officer.
