In a mind-boggling display of hyperbole, George Conway managed to reach new heights of absurdity on Friday night, equating former President Donald Trump’s political tactics to those of Adolf Hitler. This eyebrow-raising comparison came during an interview with MSNBC’s Alex Wagner, where Conway seriously compared Trump’s visits to hurricane-ravaged Georgia and North Carolina to Hitler’s use of propaganda. Because, apparently, helping victims of a natural disaster is now the same as starting World War II and committing the Holocaust. Conway, clearly lacking any sense of proportion, dredged up the old Nazi propaganda term große Lüge—the “big lie”—and claimed Trump was using the same technique outlined in Mein Kampf. That’s right, a former U.S.

A Yazidi woman who was kidnapped by ISIS terrorists in Iraq a decade ago has been rescued from captivity in Gaza by the IDF. Fawzi Amin Sido, abducted in 2014 at the age of 11, was freed this week and has been reunited with her family in Iraq. The Palestinian terrorist holding Sido was recently killed, allowing her to escape and be rescued, according to the IDF. “The young girl was extracted from the Gaza Strip in recent days in a secret operation through the Kerem Shalom Crossing,” the IDF said in a statement. After entering Israel, she was transferred to Jordan via the Allenby Crossing and eventually brought back to her family in Iraq. The operation, led by the IDF, was carried out with assistance from the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem and members of the international community.

The IDF has launched an investigation after failing to intercept a barrage of rockets launched from Lebanon, which struck the cities of Haifa and Teveriya this evening. In Haifa, five people were wounded by rocket shrapnel, according to Rambam Hospital. One victim is in good-to-moderate condition, while the other four sustained light injuries. None of the injuries are life-threatening, the hospital confirmed. Additionally, one individual was treated for acute anxiety. In Teveriya, MDA reported that one person is in moderate-to-serious condition following the rocket impact.

Former U.S. Defense Secretary William Cohen suggested on Saturday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may not fully trust President Joe Biden when it comes to coordinating Israel’s military response to Iran following this week’s missile strikes. Cohen, who served under President Bill Clinton, expressed concerns that Netanyahu might withhold critical information from the U.S. due to fears that it could be leaked or sabotage Israel’s plans. Speaking on Fox News’ Cavuto Live, Cohen was asked by host Neil Cavuto about reported tensions between the White House and Netanyahu regarding Israel’s response to Iran’s recent missile launches, which saw nearly 200 rockets fired at Israel. Cavuto questioned whether Israel might choose not to consult the U.S. about its plans.

In a surprise appearance at a rally for former President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, billionaire Elon Musk donned a black “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) hat and made an impassioned plea for Pennsylvanians to vote for Trump in the upcoming election, calling it “the most important election in our lifetime.” “We had one president who couldn’t climb a flight of stairs and another who was fist-pumping after getting shot,” Musk said. He praised Trump’s composure following the July assassination attempt, during which Trump and two of his supporters were injured, and one person was killed by a gunman. “The true test of someone’s character is how they behave under fire,” he said. Musk declared to the crowd, “I’m not just MAGA, I’m dark MAGA,” which was met with loud cheers.

“Today, Israel is defending itself on seven fronts against the enemies of civilization. We are fighting in Gaza against Hamas, the savages who murdered, raped, beheaded and burned our people on October 7th. We are fighting in Lebanon against Hezbollah, the most heavily armed terror organization in the world, which was planning an even greater massacre than October 7th on our Northern border, and that has rocketed Israeli towns and cities for nearly a year. We are fighting against the Houthis in Yemen, and the Shiite militias in Iraq and Syria, that together have launched hundreds of drones and missile attacks against Israel. We are fighting against terrorists in Judea and Samaria, who are trying to murder civilians in the heart of our cities.

This evening we begin Rosh Hashana and the three week Yom Tov season.  For most of us, it is a time of joy and celebration.  But for too many families, it is a time of tremendous stress. We have all experienced the impact of inflation on the cost of household items the past few years.  Now imagine what that has meant for families that couldn’t make ends meet even before inflation sent prices skyrocketing, Bobbie’s Place is still the only store with no price tags and no cash register.  Its prices don’t change.  But what has changed is the increasing number of families turning to Bobbie’s Place for help, and the increased prices they have to pay for the clothing they provide.

In the shadow of the launch of a ground operation in Lebanon Monday, thousands of Jews gathered at the Kosel for Selichos on Monday night. The crowd recited emotional tefillos for the welfare and safety of the soldiers and Klal Yisrael as a new phase of the battle against its enemies begins shortly before the start of the new year. Tens of thousands of mispallelim from throughout the country were expected to arrive at the Kosel on Tuesday night, Erev Rosh Hashanah, for the recital of Selichos and Hataras Nedarim, beginning at midnight.
