His comments come after Israeli strikes. “I told them it would be much worse than anything they know, anticipated, or were told, that the United States makes the best and most lethal military equipment anywhere in the World, BY FAR, and that Israel has a lot of it, with much more to come – And they know how to use it. Certain Iranian hardliners spoke bravely, but they didn’t know what was about to happen.

The officials were targeted while convened at an secret underground headquarters, according to details shared during a high-level situation assessment. Katz met with top security officials, including IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, Mossad Director David Barnea, Defense Ministry Director General Maj. Gen. (res.) Amir Baram, Head of Operations Directorate Maj. Gen. Oded Basiuk, Head of Military Intelligence Maj. Gen. Shlomi Binder, Head of Technology and Logistics Directorate Maj. Gen. Eyal Harel, Home Front Command Chief Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo, and other senior figures.

The Israeli Air Force has destroyed the Natanz nuclear facility in the massive surprise attacks early Friday morning. Multiple waves of Israeli strikes were reported throughout Iran for several hours, starting at around 3 a.m. and into the morning. Over 200 Israeli Air Force aircraft were involved in the opening strikes, and fighter jets dropped over 330 munitions on some 100 targets, the IDF said. Blasts were reported in Natanz, the site of a key nuclear facility, as well as in and around the capital Tehran. Netanyahu and Iranian state TV confirmed that one target of the strikes was the Natanz enrichment facility, one of two underground nuclear sites in the country, the other being at Fordo.

This morning, Rambam Medical Center in Haifa completed preparations for its fortified underground hospital, readying the facility for potential emergencies amid heightened regional tensions.  

All drones launched from Iran (believed to be around around 100) have Bichasdei Hashem been intercepted outside of Israel. The Home Front Command says there is still a chance of air raid sirens due to drones or missile launches by Iran, but there is no need to remain near shelters at the current time.

El Al, Arkia, and Israir have begun moving their aircraft out of Israel following widespread Israeli airstrikes on Iran and fears of retaliation. A Ben Gurion Airport spokesperson confirmed the planes were flown without passengers, and the airport is now closed until further notice. Israir stated the relocation aligns with a contingency plan prepared in recent days. El Al said its planes are being sent “to our destinations,” while Arkia did not disclose its relocation sites.
