Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency has successfully brought home a vast trove of secret Syrian archives detailing the life, mission, and final days of legendary Israeli spy Eli Cohen — six decades after his execution in Damascus. Timed to coincide with the 60th anniversary of Cohen’s public hanging in Damascus’s Marjeh Square on May 18, 1965, the announcement of the covert mission, executed in cooperation with a strategic foreign intelligence partner, marks a historic breakthrough in Israel’s ongoing effort to uncover the truth behind its most iconic agent.

Hamas has reportedly proposed a deal that would include the release of around half of the hostages still alive, along with the transfer of several bodies, in return for a ceasefire lasting two months, according to information shared by Palestinian sources with Sky News Arabia.
The offer from Hamas includes more than just a pause in fighting. The group is also insisting that humanitarian aid deliveries must be resumed immediately as a prerequisite for any hostage release.
Furthermore, Hamas is seeking firm commitments from the United States to ensure that negotiations aimed at permanently ending the conflict will commence during the ceasefire. They are also demanding that Israel stop placing restrictions that hinder the flow of humanitarian assistance.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office announced Sunday night that Israel’s hostage negotiation team in Doha is exploring “every possibility” for a deal — including one that could end the war in Gaza altogether. The dramatic statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) confirms that Israeli negotiators are now weighing two parallel tracks: a short-term ceasefire proposal reportedly advanced by U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff, or a sweeping agreement that would result in the full release of all remaining Israeli hostages and the total dismantling of Hamas’s rule in Gaza.

Knesset member Gadi Eisenkot of the National Unity Party publicly addressed the topic of a Palestinian state for the first time, declaring that in light of the October 7 attack, such a discussion has become irrelevant.
“Regarding a Palestinian state, since I’ve never spoken on this… a Palestinian state—I always speak in favor of a Jewish, democratic, strong, and powerful state, and from that, we should derive our decisions. I think a Palestinian state is not relevant after October 7,” Eisenkot said during an interview with Channel 12 News.

An audio recording of former President Joe Biden’s 2023 interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur, released by Axios on Friday night, has confirmed long-held conservative concerns about Biden’s cognitive decline while in office. The five-hour-plus recording, obtained through an undisclosed source, reveals a president struggling with basic recollection, slurring words, and relying on aides to correct critical errors, raising fresh questions about his fitness to lead during his final year in office. The interview, conducted over two days in October 2023 as part of Hur’s investigation into Biden’s mishandling of classified documents, paints a troubling picture.

U.S. Vice President JD Vance is set to visit Israel on Tuesday, according to a report by Channel 12 News, just days after President Donald Trump concluded a tour of the Middle East that did not include a stop in Israel.
Before traveling to Israel, Vance is scheduled to be present at the Vatican today for the inauguration mass of Pope Leo XIV.
News of the upcoming visit comes as Hamas and Israel have resumed indirect negotiations in Qatar, aiming to reach an agreement on a ceasefire and the release of hostages. These talks began shortly after the IDF launched a broadened military campaign in the Gaza Strip.

The U.S. Embassy in Libya issued a public statement rejecting claims that the Trump administration is exploring a proposal to transfer as many as one million residents from Gaza to Libya.
“The report of alleged plans to relocate Gazans to Libya is untrue,” the Embassy in Libya wrote in a post on social media site X.
The statement came in response to a report published by NBC News on Friday. According to that report, unnamed sources alleged that the plan under discussion might include unfreezing billions of dollars in U.S. assets currently locked in Libya, to facilitate the move.

Russia overnight into Sunday launched its most intense drone attack on Ukraine since the beginning of its full-scale invasion in 2022, after the first direct talks between Moscow and Kyiv in years failed to yield a ceasefire. Russian President Vladimir Putin spurned Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s offer to meet face-to-face in Turkey after he himself proposed direct negotiations — although not at the presidential level — as an alternative to a 30-day ceasefire urged by Ukraine and its Western allies, including the U.S. Talks in Istanbul on Friday broke up after less than two hours without a ceasefire, although both sides agreed on exchanging 1,000 prisoners of war each, according to the heads of both delegations.

A young resident of the Brook Hill neighborhood, reported missing late last night, was safely located in the early hours of Sunday following an intensive search led by Lakewood Shomrim and local police. Read the full story on Lakewood Alerts.

Recently revealed records from Hamas’s political leadership show that the group’s brutal October 7, 2023, massacre in Israel was deliberately orchestrated to derail the growing momentum of normalization between Israel and Saudi Arabia. According to the Wall Street Journal, internal minutes from a Hamas meeting dated October 2 detail how Yahya Sinwar, Hamas’s leader in Gaza, pressed for bold action to sabotage what he saw as a dangerous diplomatic development undermining the Palestinian issue.

A deadly explosion rocked Palm Springs yesterday, killing one person and injuring four others outside a fertility clinic in what authorities described as a deliberate terrorist attack.
Officials suspect the explosion may have originated from a vehicle parked near the American Reproductive Centers clinic.
“The blast appears to be an intentional act of violence,” Palm Springs Fire Chief Paul Alvarado said in a statement. “The blast field extends for blocks with several buildings damaged, some severely.”
