U.S. Vice President JD Vance is set to visit Israel on Tuesday, according to a report by Channel 12 News, just days after President Donald Trump concluded a tour of the Middle East that did not include a stop in Israel.
Before traveling to Israel, Vance is scheduled to be present at the Vatican today for the inauguration mass of Pope Leo XIV.
News of the upcoming visit comes as Hamas and Israel have resumed indirect negotiations in Qatar, aiming to reach an agreement on a ceasefire and the release of hostages. These talks began shortly after the IDF launched a broadened military campaign in the Gaza Strip.
