The heads of the Noam chardal party on Sunday announced their decision to drop out of the election race. Officials in the party notified Yahadut Hatorah, as they were conducting talks, but Noam officials announced they are not recommending any specific party but will permit backers to vote as they see fit. This leaves Yahadut Hatorah disappointed, hoping the members and backers of the chareidi dati leumi party would see fit to recommend Yahadut Hatorah.

The final pre-election poll for the upcoming race for 22nd Knesset was released, and the results show that the right-wing is still two seats short of a minimum majority of 61 seats. This being the case, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu would not be able to establish a coalition government without the backing of Avigdor Lieberman and his Yisrael Beitenu party. According to the poll, which was conducted by Midgam Institute on Friday, released on News12, if elections for 22nd was held today, the following would be the results.

The initiative is headed by Chaviva Eisler who presented the president with the findings of the strategic process and the progress made so far.

The photo that flashed onto the courtroom screen showed a young man dead on his bedroom floor, bare feet poking from the cuffs of his rolled up jeans. Lurking on a trash can at the edge of the picture was what prosecutors said delivered this death: an ordinary, U.S. Postal Service envelope. It had arrived with 10 round, blue pills inside, the markings of pharmaceutical-grade oxycodone stamped onto the surface. The young man took out two, crushed and snorted them. But the pills were poison, prosecutors said: counterfeits containing fatal grains of fentanyl, a potent synthetic opioid that has written a deadly new chapter in the American opioid epidemic. The envelope was postmarked from the suburbs of Salt Lake City.

Using Twitter to get his message out, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu questions how it is that the state spends NIS 250 million to investigate him, sending investigators to the Philippines, while 82 problematic ballot boxes were reported by Likud in the last election, which led to the New Right party not getting into Knesset and the inability of the prime minister to form a coalition. Despite this, 80 of the 82 were not investigated at all. PM Netanyahu requested an urgent meeting on the matter with the chairman of the Central Elections Committee, Justice Chanan Meltzer, before elections, but the request was denied.

Following a strenuous investigation, Ministry of Agriculture inspectors revealed the smuggling of eggplant seeds from Egypt to Israel, valued at NIS 45 million. The ministry announced on Sunday, as part of the scam, about 30 farmers received fake eggplant seedlings with a total sowing potential estimated at about 4,000 tons, and discovered that this was a scam late in the game. The investigation, which was conducted by commanders of the Central Unit or Enforcement & Investigations in the Agriculture Ministry reveals the main suspect is a resident of Gaza in his 50s, a person who holds a valid entry permit to the territories (Yehuda and Shomron). He allegedly purchased the fake eggplant seeds in Egypt, and he received them at the Rafiach border between Egypt and Gaza.
