In a heartbreaking twist, the Magen David Adom paramedic dispatched to the scene was his own grandson, Kfir. Unaware of the identity of the person in distress until mid-resuscitation, Kfir was shocked to realize he was trying to save his beloved grandfather.
Meshulam was rushed to Kaplan Medical Center, where doctors later confirmed his passing.
Before becoming a full-time mohel, Meshulam served as a lieutenant colonel in the Israel Defense Forces. He also managed a Bank Leumi branch located in Rechovot’s Sha’arei neighborhood. Deeply admired throughout the city, Meshulam was particularly known for his refusal to accept payment for brisos, a gesture that earned him tremendous respect and affection in the community.
