YWN regrets to inform you of the Petira of HaRav Shaul Zachariash ZT”L of Detroit. He was 87, and was Niftar from COVID-19. The Niftar was a Musmach of Yeshiva Torah Vodaath and Ner Yisrael. He was a Rav in Hunter Carmel NJ (Vineland), Toledo Ohio and then shepherded his community in Detroit as Vaad Harabonim and Rabbi to his beloved flock at Congregation Shomrey Emunah – for 56 years. He is survived by a brother in California Yekusiel (Jack) and by a sister Chana (Freida Gartenhaus). His children are Rivkah Schwartz Flatbush, Orah Jundef (Detroit), Avigail Teichman (Lakewood ) and Rav Avrohom Baruch Zachariash in Yerushalayim.
