On Shabbos, pro-Palestinian demonstrators in London launched a wave of antisemitic abuse against Israel supporters, with one of the insults being “Zionist pig,” according to The Telegraph. The report noted that the demonstrators chanted, “Khaybar, Khaybar, oh Jews, the army of Mohammed will return,” a phrase believed to be a threat against Jews and Israelis.
Among the marchers, one individual raised his arm in a Hitler salute toward Israel supporters, which led to his arrest by the Metropolitan Police. The 79-year-old man was taken into custody under suspicion of committing a public order offense. Stop the Hate, a group monitoring such incidents, condemned the act, stating, “Nazi salute in full view of officers and directed at Jews.” They added, “How many more instances like this do Jewish Londoners have to endure before you do something to stop these hate marches?”
Stop the Hate further criticized the protesters, saying, “They’re not interested in peaceful solutions. They want to destroy all of Israel and Jews to be ethnically cleansed. These are hate marches.”

The protesters, many of whom were headed toward the US embassy, carried placards with slogans such as “Stop arming Israel,” “Stand up to Trump,” and “End the siege.” Organizers from the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) claimed that the rally was one of the largest held since the conflict began.
In total, the Metropolitan Police reported making eight arrests, which included charges for public order offenses, breaching conditions, criminal damage, and supporting a proscribed organization.
