The NYPD has launched a Level 1 Mobilization at Maimonides Hospital after a 16-year-old female prisoner escaped custody. The teen, described as an African American female with bushy hair, wearing a white t-shirt and grey shorts, exited the hospital through the 10th Avenue and 49th Street exit. She was not handcuffed and was dressed in a hospital gown at the time. Officers are actively canvassing the area. It is currently unknown what she was originally in custody for.
