The health of the Vizhnitzer Rebbe of Bnei Brak, Rav Yisroel Hager, who is currently in Los Angeles for medical treatment, has shown notable improvement, according to sources in the Vizhnitzer kehillah.
The Rebbe is expected to be hospitalized this Friday—on Purim itself—in preparation for a medical procedure scheduled for Monday at a Los Angeles hospital.
In a recorded message sent to thousands of chassidim, Vizhnitzer leaders shared the encouraging update, attributing the improvement to the heartfelt tefillos of Klal Yisroel. They urged the public to continue davening for the Rebbe’s refuah, particularly on Ta’anis Esther and Purim.

Rav Yitzchok Berkovits, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Aish HaTorah and rosh kollel of the Jerusalem Kollel, has issued a strong statement regarding the current World Zionist Organization (WZO) elections, emphasizing the critical importance of participation for the Torah community.
“The election is not about us becoming Zionists,” Rav Berkovits clarified. “They are to prevent the Reform from siphoning off money and using it to bring Reform to Eretz Yisroel. They openly say it is about undoing all the accomplishments of [Eretz HaKodesh].”

A storm of controversy is swirling following the publication of footage from the wedding of a son of Rav Shalom Ber Sorotzkin, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Ateres Shlomo, last night.

Rav Avigdor Nebenzahl, senior posek and rov of the Old City of Yerushalayim, quoted the opinion of his rebbi, Rav Shlomo Zalman Auerbach zt”l, regarding the Purim seudah this year in Yerushalayim.
Rav Auerbach ruled that it is not mandatory to have the Purim seudah on Shabbos, although it is customary to add one additional dish to the seudah.
It is also advisable, he said, to increase wine consumption, but one should be careful not to become intoxicated.
Why avoid drunkenness? Because “there is a requirement to ‘remember the Shabbos day’ — and the sanctity of Shabbos must take precedence,” he said.

Three years ago, on Purim d’mukafin, while the residents of Yerushalayim celebrated the joy of Purim, the Torah world came to a standstill. Beginning this coming Motzoei Shabbos, thousands are expected to visit the kever of Rav Chaim at the cemetery in Bnei Brak. The mass visitation will take place from Motzoei Shabbos until Monday at sunset.

All are asked to continue davening for Rav Chaim Abadi, the esteemed head of Minyan Shelanu in Lakewood and one of the prominent figures in the field of chinuch in the United States, especially known for his incredible work with at-risk teens.
Rav Abadi has been battling serious illness and is currently hospitalized at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
As of this morning, Rav Abadi remains on a ventilator but is expected to be taken off shortly. He requires tremendous rachamei Shomayim for his full recovery.
