Amid the death and destruction perpetrated on Israel by the Islamic Republic early Monday morning, images of babies, including newborns, being rescued from buildings hit by missiles, were particularly heartrending. MDA paramedic Dr. Gal Rosen described the scene: “When we arrived at the impact site, we saw extensive destruction from the missile hit near buildings on the street, and there was a fire. Some residents exited the buildings on their own; others were rescued with the help of firefighters.

The IDF’s Home Front Command launched an investigation into the impact of an Iranian ballistic missile on a residential building in Petach Tikva early Monday morning, in which four people were killed, including two who were inside their reinforced room (“mamad”) at the time of the strike. Initial findings revealed that the missile hit directly the wall between two reinforced rooms, and the wall was unable to withstand such a direct hit from a missile with a particularly heavy explosive payload, Army Radio reported on Monday morning. Two of the people killed were inside one of the reinforced rooms that sustained a direct hit.

TRAGIC UPDATE: A man approximately 80 years old was found lifeless at the site of a missile strike in Bnei Brak, adding to the toll of Iran’s deadly barrage on Israel early Monday morning. Volunteers from ZAKA were dispatched to the scene several hours ago following reports of individuals trapped with serious concerns for their lives. After an extensive search, the man was located, but tragically, he was pronounced dead.
