Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu paid a visit to Mossad headquarters on Wednesday evening, meeting with Mossad Director David Barnea and the organization’s senior leadership team.
During the meeting, Netanyahu voiced his gratitude to the Mossad personnel for their critical and exceptional role in Operation Rising Lion, as well as for their longstanding work in intelligence and operational activities aimed at countering Iran’s ambitions.
Netanyahu said, “The Mossad operation with the pagers set in motion everything that happened afterward – the elimination of Nasrallah, the collapse of Assad and our subsequent joint action in removing the immediate existential threat.”

After two of its top emergency military commanders were swiftly eliminated within days — Gholam Ali Rashid in the opening strike of the war with Iran, followed by his replacement Ali Shadmani — Tehran thought it had a clever plan: simply keep the name of the next Khatam al-Anbiya chief a secret. If no one knows who he is, no one can target him. But Israel’s Mossad had other ideas. Enter Mossad Farsi, a now-notorious X account that has become Israel’s go-to platform for taunting the Iranian regime in Persian. On Tuesday, the account published a post that turned Iran’s attempt at secrecy into a guessing game for all to see. “The Tasnim news agency announced that the Iranian regime will not publish the name of the new commander of Khatam al-Anbiya in order to protect him.

A declassified CIA memo released Wednesday challenges the work intelligence agencies did to conclude that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election because it wanted Republican Donald Trump to win. The memo was written on the orders of CIA Director John Ratcliffe, a Trump loyalist who spoke out against the Russia investigation as a member of Congress. It finds fault with a 2017 intelligence assessment that concluded the Russian government, at the direction of President Vladimir Putin, waged a covert influence campaign to help Trump win. It does not address that multiple investigations since then, including a report from the Republican-led Senate Intelligence Committee in 2020, reached the same conclusion about Russia’s influence and motives.

Amazon has restarted deliveries to Israel after suspending new orders during last month’s military conflict with Iran, which saw the country’s airspace and major airports effectively shut down. The e-commerce giant halted shipments in mid-June, when the 12-day war forced the closure of Ben Gurion Airport to most commercial and cargo flights. With air routes gradually reopening, Amazon is once again processing and shipping orders to Israeli customers. Still, the company warns of continued disruptions. “We are experiencing shipping delays in your area,” Amazon’s Israel website cautions – a message that has been posted for years but underscoring persistent logistical challenges. Customers have been advised to expect longer-than-usual delivery times as operations fully recover.

Two children, a 5-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl, were found in serious condition on Thursday afternoon after being in a closed car for about two hours in Elyakhin, a yishuv south of Hadera. MDA and Hatzalah paramedics and medics who were called to the scene gave them initial medical treatment and evacuated them, showing signs of heatstroke, to Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera. The incident began when a report was received at the Hadera police station that the boy and toddler had left their home and disappeared. Police officers carried out extensive searches in cooperation with volunteers and inspectors from the Elyachin local council and managed to locate the children in the vehicle. The police have opened an investigation into the incident.

WATCH: The moment an IDF drone eliminated an IRGC Quds Force operative near the Beirut International Airport.

Saudi Arabia secretly participated in intercepting Iranian drones during the 12-day war between Israel and Iran, according to Gulf sources cited by Yisrael Hayom. The Saudi air force reportedly scrambled helicopters to shoot down unmanned aerial vehicles crossing regional airspace over Iraq and Jordan, halting their advance before they could reach Israel. While Riyadh has not publicly confirmed its involvement — and even condemned Israel’s strikes against Iran — the revelations point to a dramatic realignment in the Middle East, where Sunni powers increasingly see Iran as a shared threat worth countering, even if unofficially.

Kentucky has its first measles outbreak of 2025, as the U.S. case count sits just short of a 30-year high. There have been 1,267 confirmed measles cases this year, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Wednesday. Texas confirmed three more measles cases this week tied to a major outbreak that raged through the late winter and spring. There are three other large outbreaks in North America. The longest, in Ontario, Canada, has resulted in 2,212 cases from mid-October through June 24. The province logged its first death June 5 in a baby who got congenital measles but also had other preexisting conditions. Another outbreak in Alberta, Canada, has sickened 1,169 as of Wednesday.

Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., defended her controversial remarks describing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as a “terrorist force,” following sharp criticism from the White House and others.
In a Wednesday interview on CNN’s News Central with Brianna Keilar, Jayapal was asked to explain an Instagram post she had shared a day earlier. In that post, Jayapal claimed, “ICE is acting like a terrorist force. People across the country of all legal statuses — including U.S. citizens — are being kidnapped and disappeared off the street by masked men. No oversight, no accountability. Completely lawless.”

President Donald Trump on Wednesday branded New York mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani a “Communist Lunatic” and pledged to “save” the city from his leadership, escalating a political brawl between the Republican president and socialist mayoral contender. Writing on Truth Social, Trump lashed out at Mamdani, who clinched the Democratic primary last week, vowing: “As President of the United States, I’m not going to let this Communist Lunatic destroy New York. Rest assured, I hold all the levers, and have all the cards. I’ll save New York City, and make it ‘Hot’ and ‘Great’ again, just like I did with the Good Ol’ USA!” The president’s broadside follows Mamdani’s own rhetorical shots, including labeling himself “Donald Trump’s worst nightmare” during a primary debate.
