At the 17th Plenary Assembly of the World Jewish Congress held in Yerushalayim, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee gave a forceful speech highlighting what he sees as the root of Israel’s security challenges. Though Israel faces attacks from numerous directions, Huckabee argued these threats are not independent, but rather trace back to a single instigator.
“I hear people say often that Israel faces a seven-front war. I beg to differ,” Huckabee said. “While there may be seven different servers coming out of the kitchen, all bringing a different plate, some of it named Hamas, some Hezbollah, and some the Houthis, just remember one thing: all of the plates came from the very same kitchen in Tehran.”

Leaders from the United Kingdom, France, and Canada issued a forceful joint statement on Sunday criticizing Israel’s continued military campaign in Gaza, as the IDF intensified its efforts to target Hamas and rescue hostages taken on October 7.
“We strongly oppose the expansion of Israel’s military operations in Gaza. The level of human suffering in Gaza is intolerable,” the statement read. The trio of leaders dismissed Israel’s decision to permit minimal food shipments into Gaza as “wholly inadequate,” urging an immediate end to military activity and an open humanitarian corridor.

Arbel Yehoud, who spent over a year in captivity after being kidnapped on October 7, delivered an emotional address to Knesset members on Monday, sharing harrowing details of her ordeal and pleading with the government to end its military campaign in Gaza in order to secure the release of the 58 hostages still being held there.
“You should know that when relatives of my captors were injured by IDF actions, I was badly beaten and thrown into solitary confinement for long days without food fit for human consumption and hygiene conditions comparable to concentration camps during the Holocaust,” she said in a special joint session of the Constitution, Law and Justice Committee and the National Security Committee.

A man who tried to help a burglar cash in from the theft of a golden toilet valued at 4.74 million pounds ($6.4 million) was spared jail on Monday after a British judge said he had been taken advantage of by the thieves. Frederick Doe, 37, also known as Frederick Sines, was given a suspended sentence at Oxford Crown Court for his role in helping to sell the 18-carat gold fully functioning toilet which was taken in 2019 from Blenheim Palace — the country mansion where British wartime leader Winston Churchill was born. “Those responsible for this audacious heist, five individuals could be seen on CCTV, were clearly intent on disposing of their ill-gotten gains quickly,” Judge Ian Pringle told Doe.

Congressman Mike Lawler, a Republican from Rockland County, has endorsed Nachman Caller in Tuesday’s special election for the New York State Senate. “Our communities need Nachman in Albany to fight for Brooklyn, support our schools, and help keep our streets safe,” Lawler said. Lawler’s endorsement highlights the importance of the race, as Republicans seek to flip a seat in a district that overwhelmingly supported President Donald Trump in the 2024 election. The 22nd Senate District includes the frum neighborhoods of Borough Park, Midwood, Flatbush, and Marine Park.

Saudi newspaper Sharq Al-Awsat reports that Ahmad Sarhan, killed in an IDF operation in Khan Yunis, orchestrated the kidnapping of Arbel Yehud during the October 7th Massacre. Sources say Sarhan not only took part in the abduction but also managed Yehud’s captivity, overseeing her repeated transfers across Gaza.
