As Iran and the United States square off in the Persian Gulf, Israel will need to take into account that any significant escalation could result in Iranian-ordered attacks on its territory and on Israeli targets overseas.
Even before the latest tensions began, Israel’s Counter-Terrorism Bureau released its annual spring travel advisory in April, which is based on the latest intelligence assessments.
The advisory contained the following warning: “Iran and elements of the Iranian front continue to act, [and] try and to build infrastructure for carrying out terror attacks. They operate mainly against ‘regime dissidents’ in Europe—[yet] in line with an Iranian decision, this infrastructure could also be used to carry out terror attacks against Israelis.”

A cyber kingpin who masterminded a criminal conspiracy that broke into 44,000 computers and likely stole millions of dollars has been apprehended, the FBI and global law enforcement partners claimed Thursday morning.
The GozNym operation was simple but successful: hack into Windows PCs, wait for users to enter banking passwords into their browser and hoover them up. They’d then break into users’ bank accounts and attempt to shift funds to their own accounts. They tried to pilfer $100 million in total, but it’s unclear just how much they successfully transferred.

As Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu’s attempts to form a viable coalition come to a standstill, the premier is reportedly mulling over a forming a non-majority government of just 60 lawmakers.
According to the Yediot Ahronot, the coalition would be formed without the Avigdor Liberman-led Yisrael Beytenu party who has refused to back down on his demand to draft yeshiva bochurim into the army putting him at odds with the charedi parties.
Failure to bridge the impasse led to the dissolution of Netanyahu’s last government and resulted in the call for snap elections in the first place.

US Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism Elan Carr warned on Tuesday about antiSemitism from three different directions.
“In Europe, we have a confluence of antisemitism, from ultra-right ethnic supremacist movements to the ultra-left anti-Israel, anti-Zionist movements, to radical Islam,” he said at the general convention for the Conference of European Rabbis in Antwerp, Belgium.
“These are movements that should hate each other far more than they hate anything else,” continued Carr. “And yet they are united in this age-old sickness of humanity, antisemitism—what [US] President [Donald] Trump calls the vile poison of antisemitism.”
