During an appearance on Fox News Channel’s Special Report this Wednesday, Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani expressed deep pessimism over the possibility of a breakthrough between Israel and Hamas. He explained that the gulf between the two sides’ positions is too wide to bridge. “One party wants just to retrieve the hostage[s] and continue the war and the other party wants to end the war and doesn’t think about the hostages,” he said.
Al-Thani, speaking at around the 5:10 mark of the segment, noted his satisfaction at the release of Israeli-American hostage Edan Alexander, calling it a hard-fought development that “required a lot of pressure” to make happen.

Hillary Clinton has come under fire after accusing President Donald Trump of engaging in a quid pro quo following reports that Qatar may be giving the Trump administration a lavish Boeing 747 to serve as a temporary replacement for Air Force One. “No one gives someone a $400 million dollar jet for free without expecting anything in return,” Clinton said in a post on X. “Be serious.”

Lag Ba’omer is one of those days on the Jewish calendar that the people themselves have turned into a day of great celebration. The Shulchan Aruch doesn’t mention anything special about the day. However, the Rama (493:2) writes, “In these countries, the custom is to take haircuts [on Lag Ba’omer], increase a little simcha, and we don’t recite Tachanun.”
Today, in Eretz Yisroel, the day is treated like a minor Yom Tov, and it is increasingly observed that way in our communities as well.
What is it about this day that has inspired Klal Yisroel to elevate it with such joy and celebration?

Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani expressed a bleak outlook on the prospects of achieving a Gaza ceasefire anytime soon, sharing his concerns in an interview with CNN on Wednesday.
He leveled sharp criticism at Israel, accusing it of acting in bad faith by continuing military operations in Gaza even while participating in negotiations. Al-Thani said the simultaneous actions undermined the credibility of Israel’s involvement in talks held in Doha, calling it a “bad signal.”

The proposed law aimed to bar terrorists from receiving specialized medical care in Israel’s public hospitals.
Taking to his X account, Maoz brought attention to past instances in which terrorists were granted advanced medical procedures, pointing to Yahya Sinwar as a glaring example of what he called a deeply flawed system.
