REPORTER: “What’s the white House response to the exploding walkie-talkies in Lebanon today?” KIRBY: “What I can tell you is we were not involved in yesterday’s incidents or today’s in any way, and I don’t have anything more to share.”

Many Syrians rejoiced over the deaths and maiming of thousands of Hezbollah members in the Israeli “exploding pagers” operation. Many Syrians detest Hezbollah and Iran since they support Syrian President Bashar Assad in maintaining his regime while committing massacres against civilians. “We’re happy the Hezbollah pigs are paralyzed and have gone to hell, come on friends, enjoy,” a young Syrian said as he distributed sweets in Idlib, a stronghold of the rebels. Many similar videos were shared online: “The agents of the devil are dead.” There were also Syrians who expressed anger over the impotence of Arab states in the face of Israel, with an interesting reference to Netanyahu.

Two-way radios, laptops, cellphones, and other communication equipment used by Hezbollah are reportedly exploding all across southern Lebanon, barely a day after thousands of Hezbollah terrorists were injured when their pagers suddenly exploded. Videos emerging from Lebanon show panic at a funeral for the son of a Hezbollah MP who was killed in yesterday’s explosion, as well as fires breaking out in vehicles and apartments that apparently had the radios in them. Fox News reporter Peter Doocy and Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Tuesday clashed over the Biden administration’s labeling of former President Donald Trump as a “threat” to democracy. Doocy pressed Jean-Pierre on why the administration continues to refer to Trump as a “threat” while simultaneously calling for a cooling of political rhetoric. “It’s been only two days since somebody allegedly tried to kill Donald Trump again, and you’re here at the podium in the White House briefing room calling him a ‘threat,’” Doocy said. “How many more assassination attempts on Donald Trump until the president and the vice president and you pick a different word to describe Trump other than ‘threat’?” “I actually completely disagree with the premise of your question.

At a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing addressing the surge of hate crimes in the United States, Republican U.S. Senator John Kennedy blasted Arab American Institute Executive Director Maya Berry. Kennedy opened his questioning with a provocative statement: “You support Hamas, do you not?” This remark visibly stunned Berry, who responded by condemning Hamas as a foreign terrorist organization, adding, “You asking the executive director of the Arab American Institute that question very much puts the focus on the issue of hate in our country.” Undeterred, Kennedy escalated his line of questioning, asking, “You support Hezbollah, don’t you?” Berry firmly rejected the accusation, insisting that she opposes any organization that resorts to violence, including both Hamas and Hezbollah.

Thousands of Dati Leumi Yeshiva students were filmed singing and dancing in dozens of major Yeshivos around Eretz Yisroel, Tuesday. The boys broke into joyous singing as word spread of the high number of deaths and wounded in the “Hezbollah pager explosions”. As of this posting, nearly 4,000 Hezbollah terrorists have been maimed or killed in the attacks. Hezbollah members recently began using the pagers that exploded after the group’s leader ordered them to stop using cell phones over concern that Israeli intelligence could track the devices. Experts have shared two competing theories as to how hundreds of pagers could have exploded simultaneously. One theory is that there was a cybersecurity breach, causing the pagers’ lithium batteries to overheat and detonate.

In a statement published on Monday, Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar commended the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen for their recent missile attack on Israel. The congratulatory letter, posted on the Hamas website, celebrated the Houthis’ missile strike, which targeted central Israel on Sunday. The attack set off sirens across a wide area, from east of Tel Aviv to Modiin. The Houthis, who control northern Yemen, fired a ballistic missile that was intercepted by an Israeli defense missile. However, the missile was not entirely destroyed, breaking apart in midair and causing minor damage from falling debris, according to an Israeli Air Force report.

A rare and exquisitely illustrated Chumash from the 14th century will soon be showcased to the public, following its recent sale at Sotheby’s New York for an impressive $6.7 million. The Shem Tov Chumash was sold on September 10 at the high end of its estimated value of $5 to $7 million. Described as “a tour de force of biblical and kabbalistic scholarship and a precious witness to the medieval tradition of Sephardic book art,” the Shem Tov Chumash was completed in 1312 by Rabbi Shem Tov Ibn Gaon in the northern Spanish city of Soria. Its intricate artistry and historical significance make it one of the most important Hebrew manuscripts of the medieval period.

On Monday, the FBI disclosed that Ryan Routh, the suspect in the second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, had been the subject of a tip to the FBI back in 2019. This new information emerged during a press conference held by Special Agent in Charge Jeffrey B. Veltri. “Following up on the tip, the alleged complainant was interviewed and … did not verify providing the initial information. The FBI passed that information to local law enforcement in Honolulu,” Veltri stated. According to Veltri, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office took custody of the 58-year-old suspect, Ryan Routh, who was then transferred to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. “Our FBI agents then attempted to interview him, and he invoked his right to an attorney,” Veltri said.
