Charges have been dismissed against a trucker who drove into a crowd of protesters in Minneapolis following the death of George Floyd last year.
In an online court session on Friday, Bogdan Vechirko entered into a “continuance without prosecution” agreement with prosecutors, according to the Star Tribune.
Under the agreement, he has to remain law-abiding for the next year and pay restitution.
The incident occurred during a protest that took place about a week after Floyd’s death.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson suggested that undercover FBI agents helped orchestrate the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

President Biden and first lady Jill Biden’s German shepherd Champ died this week.
The president and first lady said in a statement Saturday that Champ “passed away peacefully at home.”
“He was our constant, cherished companion during the last 13 years and was adored by the entire Biden family,” the statement said.
“Even as Champ’s strength waned in his last months, when we came into a room, he would immediately pull himself up, his tail always wagging, and nuzzle us for an ear scratch or a belly rub. Wherever we were, he wanted to be, and everything was instantly better when he was next to us,” it added.

US President Joe Biden will host President Reuven Rivlin at the White House on June 28, Biden’s press secretary announced on Saturday.
“President Rivlin’s visit will highlight the enduring partnership between the United States and Israel and the deep ties between our governments and our people. It will be an opportunity to consult about the many challenges and opportunities facing the region,” Jen Psaki said in a statement.
Rivlin’s seven-year term as president is due to end on July 7, and the White House said the visit “will honor the dedication he has shown to strengthening the friendship between the two countries over the course of many years.”

A group of leftists aggressively harassed and attacked attendees of the Colorado Christian University Centennial Institute’s Western Conservative Summit in downtown Denver on Friday night.

A man named Leonne, who would not give his last name (“like Cher,” he said) and said that he somewhere between 20 and 40 years old, told the Washington Examiner that he was “first and foremost” protesting “that a place like this,” the Hyatt in downtown Denver, “lets a conference like this happen, that accepts money from these sorts of people.”

New York Attorney General Letitia James said Friday she’s reached an agreement with a Hudson Valley town and county to end discriminatory housing practices she says were designed to keep Hasidic Jewish families from moving in.
James said the agreement requires Orange County and the town of Chester to comply with the Fair Housing Act and to take preventative measures to ensure equitable housing practices moving forward.
“The discriminatory and illegal actions perpetrated by Orange County and the Town of Chester are blatantly antisemitic, and go against the diversity, inclusivity, and tolerance that New York prides itself on,” James said in a statement.

It was one of the more memorable moments in the New York City mayor’s race: Eight Democratic candidates were asked at a debate earlier this month if they would accept an endorsement from Mayor Bill de Blasio.

Only one, Andrew Yang, raised his hand.

When the candidates each gave the mayor a letter grade, their consensus was that Mr. de Blasio had failed on a variety of subjects, including solving the city’s homelessness crisis and his handling of protests against police brutality last year.

Parshas Shelach teaches us about the mitzvah of tzitzis, and how they’re intended to remind us of Hashem and his mitzvos. To this end, the cheder yingelech of Boyan, Ohr Moshe, Ch’san Sofer, Spinka, and Tzehlimer yeshivas visited the headquarters of Judaica giant Mefo’ar to take a closer look, connecting with the mitzvah on a deeper level.
Mefo’ar, one of the most prominent names in the Judaica industry, has their headquarters on Fourteenth Avenue near Fortieth Street—where a riveting display exhibits the making of tzitzis from start to finish, from the time the wool is shorn off the sheep, and every step of its manufacturing, until the wool tzitzis are tied into the woolen begged.
