On the 18th of Iyar (May 14th), at 10:00 PM, the silence of the night was shattered by gunfire.
On a road just meters from her home, a mother’s life was stolen — a soul of depth and kindness, a woman whose every breath was dedicated to others.
Tzeela Gez, a devoted mother of three and pregnant with her fourth, was on her way to bring new life into the world when evil cut her journey short. The world lost a gifted therapist, a pillar of her community, and most of all, a mother whose love knew no bounds.
She never made it to the hospital.
Her newborn son entered the world without her. He will never know the warmth of her touch or the sweetness of her voice — but he will know her light.
Because we will make sure of it.

A Peaceful Home authored forty years ago by the Ponevez Yeshiva Masgiach Rabbi Chayim Friedlander ZT”L as a guide primarily for young men approaching marriage, coaching them in their new responsibilities and obligations to their wives enabling them to build their home in the way of Torah.  The essay educates the new husband in what his role is, his obligations to his wife, understanding her nature and her aspirations and supporting her materially and emotionally. It is crafted in five chapters of concise lessons each dealing with a different aspect of married life.
