Following three weeks of intensive treatment in the hospital, Mirel Duzlovsky, the mother of 11 who was seriously injured during a protest in the Geula area was released from Shaare Tzedek Hospital on Tuesday. Duzlovsky suffered a severe bilateral lung injury after a  dumpster struck her chest with great force and required lifesaving emergency treatment. After undergoing surgery, she was transferred to the intensive care unit, sedated and ventilated, where the doctors and nurses fought for her life for two and a half weeks. Duzlovsky required prolonged ventilation to allow her lungs to heal and she underwent several additional surgeries and complex treatments until her condition improved.

A frum man walking with his wife and baby was violently attacked while walking in Stamford Hill, London. “A racist male unhappy with the child’s speed pushed the 1-yr-old shouting ‘Move *** Jew, I will stab & kill you’ before cutting the victim on his face/hand,” Stamford Hill Shomrim wrote on Twitter. The incident is only one in a recent spate of anti-Semtic attacks on Jews in London, including a man who entered a shop in Stamford Hill screaming: “Jews don’t give me a job. I have a gun.” He then emptied the till and ran off.

Franklin Avenue in Williamsburg was the scene of heavy police activity on Wednesday night, after an armed robbery with a vehicle pursuit ended with a car crash and the suspects bailing on foot. It unfolded at around 5:00PM, when the five suspects armed with a gun robbed a cellphone store on the East Side of Manhattan. The NYPD was pinging the getaway car, and chased them into Williamsburg, where they eventually crashed at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Park Avenue. All occupants bailed from the vehicle, and a foot pursuit and a perp search was underway. Two suspects were taken into custody a few minutes later, while two (possibly three) others managed to get away. A short while later another two suspects were taken into custody.

Border Guard commanders were suspended after a female Border Police officer was apparently mistakenly left alone in the Arab village of Al-Ram, near Ramallah, on Tuesday. A video that circulated on social media shows the Border Police officer walking alone on a street in the village following an operation in which Border Guard forces arrested three Palestinian suspects. According to regulations, Border Police officers must always operate in pairs. Following the circulation of the video, a statement from a Border Guard spokesperson claimed that “in the video circulated on social media, it appears that the Border Guard officer is alone in the field.

A couple’s journey from Niagara Falls to Monsey following a peaceful Shabbos Chanukah quickly turned into a nightmare when the family along with their 3-month-old son became trapped in snow on a highway near Buffalo. Stuck in a deep snowdrift with no escape route in sight, the worried couple called 911 for assistance. But after an extensive wait, it was clear that help wasn’t on the way. So the couple did what they could: they phoned Chaverim of Rockland County and explained their concerning predicament. Chaverim immediately sprang into action, contacting New York State Police and local law enforcement to urge the rescue of the family, stressing that the young child was in serious danger due to the cold.

The niftar, z’tl, who ceaselessly toiled in Torah for decades, passed away on his 94th birthday, on Shabbos Chanukah, at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem. HaRav Atik, z’tl was born in the Old City of Jerusalem and learned in his youth in the Eitz Chaim Talmud Torah and yeshivah under HaGaon HaRav Isser Zalman Meltzer, z’tl, and later at Yeshivas Mir under HaGaon HaRav Eliezer Yehudah Finkel, zt’l, where he continued to learn after he married.

A blaze at the NYPD’s Erie Basin Auto Pound lot and evidence storage warehouse in Brooklyn’s Red Hook neighborhood has destroyed multiple vehicles and is sending smoke billowing for miles. The fire is believed to have been sparked at the NYPD’s warehouse on Columbia Avenue, one of five warehouses the department uses to store impounded vehicles. The FDNY has called for a third alarm response as of this report, as the fire continues to rage out of control. NYFD firefighting boats are currently spraying the structure from the nearby bay. The search for Moishe Kleinerman resumed on Monday morning in the Meron area following new information on the case received by the police. According to a Channel 12 News report, the new information was received from one of the people who was previously investigated as part of the probe. He testified that he had seen Moishe in a certain area that was not searched in the past. Contrary to what was reported on Sunday, the new information was not DNA evidence. Israel Police officers and Israel Dog Unit volunteers arrived at the area and received a briefing before starting searches. Moishe’s uncle Chaim Hanelfling, told Kan News on Monday that the police are in constant contact with his sister, Moishe’s mother.

The Vizhnitzer Rebbe, who visited the US last week, spoke out against the “general” Chassidish yeshivos who expel bochurim who get engaged at the age of 18. Speaking at a gathering together with his cousin, the Vizhnitzer Rebbe of Monsey, the Rebbe expressed his pain on the matter. “In past generations, they married at a very young age. Nowadays not as much but nevertheless, I have grievances against several yeshivos that forbid their talmidim from getting married during Shiur Beis even if the bochur is already 18, and they only allow them to get engaged after Shavuos of Shiur Beis. This is the minhag in several yeshivos, even in ones that operate according to Chassidish minhagim.” “In my view, this is incorrect.

Ardently pro-Trump Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said over the weekend that if she and Steve Bannon had organized the January 6 riot at the Capitol, it would have accomplished what they wanted. “I’ll just tell you something: if Steve Bannon and I had organized that, we would have won. Not to mention, would have been armed,” Greene told the New York Young Republican Club. In making the comment, Greene was referencing accusations that she and other congressmen gave “reconnaissance tours” to Jan. 6 protesters in the days preceding the riot.
