The Democratic Party is in shambles.
Over the weekend, MSNBC host and former Kalama Harris aid Symone Sanders Townsend announced live on air that she’s quitting the Democratic Party — and will register as Independent — because she is so “pissed” at Chuck Schumer siding with the Republicans on the latest spending bill.
“There’s actually little that the Senate minority leader can say, and the 10 Democrats that voted with the Republicans can say, to appease somebody like me,” she told panelists on her show, “The Weekend.”
“I’m about to change my registration to independent, first and foremost,” she told her fellow panelists while exclaiming her party “blew it.”

President Trump explained on Sunday that his comment about ending the war between Ukraine and Russia in 24 hours was meant to be taken “a little bit sarcastic.”
In an interview on the Sunday broadcast of “Full Measure,” Trump was asked to clarify his past campaign assertion that he could bring the war to an end within a single day.
“Well, I was being a little bit sarcastic when I said that,” Trump admitted. “What I really mean is I’d like to get it settled, and I think I’ll be successful.”
Throughout his 2024 presidential campaign, Trump repeatedly stated that he would be able to “solve” the conflict within 24 hours if re-elected.

On yesterday’s edition of FNC’s Life, Liberty & Levin, House Speaker Mike Johnson shared his perspective on the challenges he faces in working across the aisle, highlighting those difficulties during the passage of the continuing resolution to fund the government last week. He suggested that these challenges revealed that some Democrats’ disdain for President Trump outweighed their commitment to the country.

A young Chassidishe boy from the United States amazed listeners and viewers with his rhyming in Yiddish, focused on the gvir – wealthy man – whom everyone chases after but laughs at behind his back.
A video of the 12-year-old boy performing the grammen at a Purim seudah to the tune of a song by Reb Yom Tov Ehrlich has gone viral. “The big problem is that the financial situation is very difficult,” he says, “and the gvir only appears to be a gvir.”
The boy sings, “You probably ask, ‘Where did my wealth come from?’ Well, Hashem gave me a good mind, and I show real estate agents who buy homes, and I charge $1000 per meeting.

President Donald Trump and New York Governor Kathy Hochul met in the Oval Office on Friday for a “productive” discussion, according to a spokesperson for the governor. The two leaders focused on congestion pricing and the plans to revamp Penn Station during their meeting.
The meeting came at a time of rising tensions between Trump and Hochul, particularly after federal actions targeted the state’s congestion pricing initiative and sued New York over its sanctuary city policies regarding undocumented immigrants.
Hochul had recently positioned herself as part of the anti-Trump “resistance,” even speaking out strongly against the former president just last week. However, her tone softened following her most recent conversation with him.

President Donald Trump asserted on Thursday that Canada would be better off as part of the United States, and emphasized that he would not back down from the tariffs he has imposed or those scheduled to begin in April.
Trump made these comments during a press conference in the Oval Office following a meeting with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, which was broadcast on Newsmax and its online platform, Newsmax2. The conversation came shortly after Trump urged European allies to contribute more to the defense fund of the 32-nation military alliance.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) appeared on MSNBC’s “All In” on Thursday, stating that the consequences of a federal government shutdown would be far worse than supporting the House funding bill. Schumer expressed his strong opinion, claiming that figures like President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, whom he described as “bastards,” would pose a threat to democracy if given more power.
